Hartman Equine Reproduction Center (HERC) Is a full service equine fertility facility with two locations, each situated in the heart of performance horse country Whitesboro, Texas, and Marietta, Oklahoma.

HERC's on-going collaborative relationship with Dr. Katrin Hinrichs and the Equine Embryo Laboratory at Texas A&M University includes research projects in the areas of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) - fertilizaton of oocytes, as well as embryo freezing. With the current clinical application of these advanced reproductive techniques, vHERC anticipates being able to offer oocyte aspiration at both its Texas and Oklahoma facilities for the 2012 breeding season. Following aspiration, unfertilized oocytes will be transported to the Equine Embryo Laboratory where ICSI fertilization will occur. Resulting embryos will then be transported to HERC for transfer to a recipient mare.

A recent addition to HERC is Dr. Justin Voge who joined the practice after completion of a residency in Equine Theriogenology at Texas A&M University, under the guidance of renowned specialists Drs. Dickson Varner, Terry Blanchard, Charles Love and Steven Brinsko. Dr. Voge is a boarded reproductive specialist in the American College of Theriogenologists (DACT) and has a Masters degree in reproductive physiology from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Voge's professional interests include management of the subfertile stallion/mare and reproductive medicine.

As Reining continues to grow in popularity worldwide, let HERC be your resource for expanding your breeding program outside of the U.S. They are an USDA approved site for semen freezing and shipment to the European Union, South America, Canada, and Australia.
